What to Expect

We are a Christian reformed church who follows a more traditional Christian worship service that is God-centred and focuses on biblical preaching, with a strong emphasis on the Five Solas. The liturgy of our worship services include: a call to worship, songs of praise, bible readings, children’s address (AM only), gifts and offerings, prayers, preaching on God’s Word, blessings/benediction of God, and doxology.

What Do I Wear?

At RCBH, we encourage our congregation to dress comfortably. Whether it means "dress to your Sunday best" or casually, we kindly ask everyone to dress modestly and respectfully for the occasion of worshipping in the company of the body of Christ.

What About My Children?

For families with babies and toddlers
Our church building has a dedicated quiet room equipped with a changing table, comfy seating and stimulating toys available for parents to take their young children when needed.

Sunday School
For children ages 3-9, a Sunday School class meets after the morning service. We encourage young children to participate in the full church service as a way to train them up in the words of the Lord – ideally, we like our educators to be fully present too! During the sermon, there are kid's activity clipboards available to practice listening and notetaking.

Older Kids and Teens
Kids and teens from the ages of 10-15 years old have a Catechism class that meet together after the morning church service.

How To Get There? Where Can I Park?

Our church building is located in 28 Watts St, Box Hill VIC 3128.

Please note, there is no vehicle access to Watts St direct from Whitehorse Rd - vehicle entry to the church is only via Thames St.
(Should you find yourself driving in from Whitehouse Rd, you will find a carpark building called Care Park (5 Watts St) with free Sunday rates from 8am-8pm – 5mins walk to RCBH)

As parking is limited, please reserve the RCBH carpark for families with babies/toddlers and prams, people with disabilities, and the elderly. There is street parking available along Watts Street, on the opposite side of RCBH (council rules).

Church is Important

Church is more than just a place for worship.

For our God "rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done" and "blessed the seventh day and made it holy" (Gen 2:2-3a), as His image-bearers we are commanded to "remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy" (Exo 20:8). Let us joyfully devote and dedicate ourselves to Him, as we also should day-to-day.

The Event Matters - by Karl Vaters

Worship is Crucial

Worship should never be seen as a chore or a past-time.

Before the Holy Spirit said through the Apostle Paul, "Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it" (1 Cor 12:27), we are also told that, "for just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ" (1 Cor 12:12).
